County Kildare has some wonderful visitor attractions to explore on your minibreak in Ireland.

Maynooth Castle

The once great stone castle stands in the centre of Maynooth, 3 minutes walk from the Glenroyal Hotel. The castle remains a tourist attraction and limited access to the partly ruined building is possible.

St Patricks College

National Seminary for Ireland, often known as Maynooth College. The college was officially established as the Roman Catholic College of St Patrick by an Act of Grattan's Parliament in 1795.

Castletown House & Gardens

The magnificent Castletown manor house and grounds has been loving restored and conserved. One of the most important country houses in Ireland, Castletown is open for the summer season from mid-March until end of October.

Japanese Gardens

Internationally acclaimed, the Japanese Gardens at Tully are a feast for the senses and place for contemplation, meditation and reflection.

National Stud

Since 1946 the Irish National Stud has played an active role developing and promoting Irish bloodstock. The National Stud is 48km drive, as well as including the Japanese Gardens other highlights include the spiritual haven of St Fiachra's Garden and the state of the art Horse Museum.
